EAGLE PASS TX BIOGRAPHIES

A special look at the legendary characters that found their way into Blackjack's interviews and promos. According to Blackjack, they were almost all based on real people back in Texas. The man himself will shares with us the background on many of those great characters.

FEATURES

This is the section of  Blackjack's Bar-B-Que where we serve the main course; a look at some of the big angles and matches over Blackjack's career, primarily focusing on those in the Mid-Atlantic area.

Current features include a look at Blackjack's run as US Champion and the manner in which he elevated the title. It is cross referenced with his US title history and a feature on the Gateway about his first big US title win over Paul Jones.

But the main event is the look back at what I firmly believe to be the most well executed and successful angle ever, certainly in the Mid-Atlantic area. The famous HAT AND ROBE angle took place in April of 1978 and played out over most of the rest of that year. A complete story on the angle, including audio clips and exclusive screen captures from an 8mm film shot off a TV screen. Alas, video of the angle is not known to exist.

LITTLE KNOWN FACT:

Blackjack Mulligan won an Emmy for his cameo role in the The Wild Wild West!

That's our story and we're stickin' to it!
