Ring Announcer Ralph Harkey:

Speaking of legendary performers and people that really lit up this town when he came to wrestle here, we have a note here from one of the legends themselves – Blackjack Mulligan, ladies and gentlemen...

It is my pleasure to share his statements with you:

“I want to thank the Miss South Carolina Organization and all those involved in their Night of Legends show for their kind invitation to attend this year’s event. I regret I am unable to attend, but I want to say a special hello to all my fans and friends who supported me in the Mid-Atlantic Wrestling area over the years.

And to all my fellow wrestlers, great men who both stood in my corner and who faced me across the ring, my heartfelt thanks for sharing all the miles down that long road. I know they join me in the wish that we could all step through the ropes just one more time.

May God bless you all,

- Blackjack Mulligan”

Presented to fans, friends, and wrestlers at the 2nd Annual Wrestling Night of the Legends event

on February 19, 2005 at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium, Spartanburg, SC.
